No lie, I like to find a window that is bringing in the most sun. I'll then go, in my panties and bra and stretch for 20 minutes. Something about the combination of the sun on me, the slow breathing, the focus on something truly calming, calms me. When I get up, I feel reinvented. I feel as though I've connected with myself on the deepest level, that I have a deeper mindfulness that enhances how I perceive things. You've probably heard people say they feel high after a meditation sesh. I'd concur. I probably shouldn't say this but, listen...the truth is what you'll get here. It feels orgasmic!
We all do so many things throughout the day. We attend meetings, take calls, check voicemails, run off to work or appointments, sit in traffic, help a friend get over an ex, look for a new place, stub our toe while dropping a load of laundry into the wash, argue with the guy who stole our parking space, follow him and quite possibly flick him off only to find he's a cop (okay, I digress BUT..) you get what I'm saying here. Do whatever you can to maintain your peace because there are many ways to have your piece of peace stolen throughout a day.
