As October comes to a close, we reflect on what it meant to us here at Beauty Bakerie. As a breast cancer survivor, Cashmere Nicole taught us to be "better not bitter" and about the importance of giving back to the community.
We celebrated this past month by shining a light on those who are survivors, undergoing treatment or lost the battle to cancer. In honor of all the brave woman and men, we not only gave back but also shared some new sweets to keep breast cancer awareness month at the forefront of our minds and hearts.
Week one:
Having deals for our Sweeties is always fun but paired with giving back to a good cause - even sweeter. We introduced Pinktober by having a sale on all our pink products. Then 15% of the proceeds from our Pink Bake Sale were donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
As the sale came to an end, our first baked goodies launched; Versailles' cousins! These Lip Whips were a smash hit and followed the pink theme of the month.
Week two:
We decided to test our Sweeties' knowledge with an Instagram contest. It was easy; all you had to do was name the pink Lip Whip swatches in order with correct name and spelling.
One of you beat out everyone to win the grand prize, but more importantly reminded everyone that it was breast cancer awareness month.
Week three:
The big sale on GELato, BROWnies, and EyesCream was a thank you for the outpouring of love and support. We also released our perfect baked beat topper, Sprinkles glitter! It's so important to thank all of you for this journey, and what better way to give back then to give you the baked goods you have been craving!
The final week:
The last week of breast cancer awareness month, our long awaited Neapolitan EyesCream Palette was finally available, and it couldn't have felt any sweeter! One last flash sale on our pink items was the cherry on top. Our CEO Cashmere even showcased a pretty pink look on our youtube channel to honor the spirit of the month!
As breast cancer awareness month came to an end, it meant a lot to us at Beauty Bakerie to give back to the community. This week was special as we selected someone on GoFundMe who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, to receive 10% of our sale proceeds. Lastly, as a team, we participated in the San Diego Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure walk on November 6th.
We want to thank you all for the love and incredible support we received throughout Pinktober. It's times like this that remind us we have the best Sweeties in the world. <3
